Hāvin SMS Terms
These terms apply to Hāvin by Text and Halo text messaging provided by Havin LLC. The messaging number is disclosed to enrolled users through Hāvin and messages they receive. They supplement Hāvin’s general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Optional enrollment and consent
Hāvin by Text is optional. Where available for a user’s account or plan, a user may enroll by verifying control of a mobile number and then separately enabling the Hāvin by Text consent control. The recurring-message control is off by default and requires an intentional opt-in. Verifying a phone number does not by itself enroll the user in recurring Hāvin messages.
Consent to receive recurring Hāvin SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing or maintaining a Hāvin subscription.
2. Messages you may receive
After opting in, messages may include service and maintenance reminders, Hāvin Watch alerts, usage check-ins, shared-access activity where available, account-related notices, and responses from Halo to questions the user sends by text. Messages are transactional and informational and may be based on assets and authorized information associated with the user’s Hāvin account.
Hāvin by Text is not currently used for unsolicited marketing, lead generation, or third-party promotional messaging.
3. Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies based on the user’s enabled settings, asset activity, maintenance schedules, Watch conditions, usage-check needs, shared-access activity, and messages the user sends to Halo. Message and data rates may apply according to the user’s wireless plan.
4. Stop messages and change preferences
Reply STOP to opt out of Hāvin text messaging. Hāvin honors standard STOP-family carrier keywords. Users may also disable the Hāvin by Text master switch or individual message categories in Hāvin Settings. Hāvin additionally recognizes END HĀVIN TEXTING as an in-product opt-out command.
If a user later sends START or UNSTOP, the carrier/app opt-out may be cleared, but Hāvin does not silently re-enable the Hāvin by Text master setting. The user must intentionally re-enable Hāvin by Text in Settings before normal Hāvin messages resume.
5. Help
Reply HELP for messaging help. Users may also contact Hāvin through the Hāvin Contact page.
6. Phone verification
Hāvin may use a one-time SMS verification code to confirm that a user controls a mobile number. The user is shown a separate one-time verification disclosure before requesting that code. Standard message and data rates may apply. The verification process does not itself provide consent for recurring Hāvin by Text messages.
7. Halo, automation, and authorized information
Halo may answer messages using information the user is authorized to access in Hāvin. Outbound messaging is initiated by defined Hāvin product logic—not by an AI independently deciding who to contact or when to contact them. Defined triggers may include service or Watch events, usage-check intervals, permitted shared-access activity, or other explicitly designed system rules.
8. Privacy
Hāvin does not sell, rent, transfer, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from any broader information-sharing permissions in Hāvin’s policies.
See the Hāvin Privacy Policy for more information.
9. Delivery and emergencies
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Hāvin cannot guarantee SMS availability, timing, or delivery. Do not rely on Hāvin SMS for emergencies, urgent life-safety communication, or time-critical instructions.
10. Changes to the messaging program
Havin LLC may update these SMS Terms or the Hāvin by Text program as the product, applicable requirements, or messaging providers change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. If a change requires new consent, Hāvin will request it before sending messages that depend on that consent.
